The Quiet Weeks Count Too

With Bri Weekly | Week 8

When I first thought about this week, my immediate reaction was:
I really didn’t do much.

Then I started thinking about it. Maybe I did more than I realized.

I spent some time working through my Life Reset, which felt especially fitting because this week was full of little resets of its own.

I made it to another card show, because apparently I have fully accepted that collecting is part of my life now. 😂 P.S. I’m currently on the hunt for a 1986 Fleer Magic Johnson card for my Made in ’86 collection. One person had a ton of 86 fleer but no Magic 😭 .

I finally spent some time organizing photos, which, considering the number sitting in my camera roll, is absolutely a project in itself.

I had my usual time with Mom. A little shopping, then back to her place to continue watching The Oval. Nothing elaborate, just one of those routines that has quietly become one of my favorite parts of the week.

I also started getting ready for my cruise, including getting my nails done and trying on themed outfits because vacation preparation absolutely counts as preparation. 😂

At home, I started to organize the living room, which is currently less “living room” and more “Bri’s temporary headquarters” while the house is being remodeled.
That space has become my bedroom, office, storage area, creative space, and probably a few other things depending on the hour. So making it feel a little more organized felt like its own kind of reset.

Then fall started creeping in
Pumpkin coffee two days in a row.
A trip to HomeGoods. A few fall pieces for the dining room.
Yes, I know it is still August.
No, I do not care. 😂🍂

The week ended with another little transition.
I dropped the kids off at their grandmother’s house to spend time with her and their cousins as their last weekend of summer is here.

School starts next week.
My cruise is almost here.
The house is still changing.
With Bri is still growing.

Life is moving into another season, literally and figuratively.

Maybe that is why this week felt quieter.
Not every week needs a huge accomplishment, breakthrough, or perfectly packaged lesson.

Sometimes the work is organizing the space you are in.

Preparing for what is coming.

Spending time with the people you love.

Making your home feel a little more like you.

Giving yourself permission to enjoy pumpkin coffee before September. 😂

And taking a few minutes to check in with yourself before the next season begins.

I thought I didn’t do much this week.
Turns out, I was resetting.

With Bri, it’s a vibe. ✨
